PRISONER OF TIME 1 © 2007
Everything I lived
Was to showcase my best,
Every gesture, every word,
Was an attempt to leave a mark.
Now, only a crack remains,
A small opening in time,
Through which a ray of light may pass,
Illuminating memories I do not wish to leave.
In that thread of light, I find my refuge,
A space to relive what was,
And in the nostalgia that insinuates itself,
I allow myself to remember, in silence and peace.
Everything I was, everything I gave,
Now amounts to that moment,
Where a ray of light passes through the crack,
And makes me see that, even at the end,
There is still space for a final gleam,
A last memory to keep.
