PRISONER OF TIME 1 © 2007

Dear friend, if you don't call me,

It is a favour you do me,

For I am gathered with myself,

In deep dialogue, without disguises or masks.

This meeting, rare and necessary,

Is where I listen to what I often silence,

Where I revisit who I am and who I want to be,

And in the company of myself,

I find the peace I so seek.

So, don't take the silence amiss,

Nor the absence of an immediate response,

For in this moment, i am in meeting with my soul,

Trying to understand the voices that dwell within it,

So that, when I return to the world,

I might be a little more whole,

A little more true.

Dear friend, if you don't call me,

Know that it is not disdain,

But rather a necessity to be alone,

So that, upon return, i may be fully with you.
