PRISONER OF TIME 1 © 2007
I place myself on a lofty level,
For I need its altitude,
To feel complete and emotive,
Far from the shadows of unrest.
From up high, the view is clearer,
The clouds do not hide the horizon,
And in the elevation I find calm,
That allows me to touch the source.
I need this elevated space,
So that emotion can flow,
Like a river rushing down,
Carrying within it the desire to exist.
It is in the height that I find meaning,
The depth that completes me,
And though the world sees me as distant,
It is there that my soul reflects.
I place myself on this lofty level,
Not out of vanity or pretension,
But to find, in the silence of the winds,
The fullness that escapes me on the ground.
