PRISONER OF TIME 2 © 2008

Bay of Luanda, face of Angola,

Mirror of time, of struggles and glories,

Your true shine still unravels,

In the waves of history, in old memories.

Longing for a purer reflection,

To shine in the night, like a guiding star,

But in your hand, the alms, the future

Still gets lost in tears, in agony.

The feast is bitter, but not without hope,

For in the waters that bathe your face,

There is a deep desire, a child

That dreams of the day when pain will pass.

Bay of Luanda, you hold within you

The past, the present, the nostalgia,

And in the constant struggle, there will yet come

The day when true freedom will bloom.
