True friends

Do not present a bill,

For friendship, in its shelter,

Is pure, sincere, without cost.

They do not charge for deeds done,

Nor for words spoken into the wind,

They are companions in every manner,

And offer affection without delay.

In moments of laughter or pain,

They are present, without any condition,

For they know that value

Is in the giving, in the understanding.

True friendship is not measured,

In numbers or accounts to settle,

It simply exists, grows, and yields,

And strengthens without needing to bill.
