GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 2 © 2008
On the oscillating plate of the scale, i jump with springs on my feet,
In search of eternal change, and in the idea of who made me.
Full of imbalance, it is hard for me to maintain,
In this constant addiction, words do not let me fade.
Not a minute to rest, always pulsating,
At every moment they want to be recorded,
For fear of being forgotten, lost in the air,
Memory, at times, has wounds yet to heal.
The gaps let escape, like shadows gliding,
The moments that were left to dream,
And I, who jump on the scale of life, without cease,
Seek in words the cure, the relief that is slow to come.
