GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 2 © 2008

Everyone distances themselves from me, as if I were a sorcerer,

It's for the best, I think, thus no one invades me completely.

They leave me in my corner, in the solitude I chose,

And in others' ignorance, I find the relief I sought.

Ignorance is ugly, it runs in a genuine vein,

But I am also ugly, with a soul so frail,

For I allow my heart to become hard as stone,

Distant and cold, like granite that does not heal.

I let silence be my only companion,

And in the darkness I create, I remain the final one,

Sorcerer or not, I am only what remains,

A being that, in distance, has silenced its own heart.
