GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 2 © 2008

I love you and I don't want you, woman of the world, then?

One day, perhaps, I hope to say yes or no.

It is still early, the future that brings clarity,

Today I only see black, or is it the darkness that weighs.

Here is my uncertainty, between love and reason,

Caught in a dilemma, between desire and restraint,

I love you, but the world calls for you, claims you,

And I, in the shadow, wait, without flame.

Time will tell if fate will unite us,

If yes or no will bring the answer,

For now, I wander in the doubt that frightens me,

I love you and I don't want you, and so I go on, for now.
