GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 2 © 2008

All that I dreamed, was a distant chimera,

I transcended what I once loved, never knowing enough.

Today, in this narrow herald, I see what I lost,

The love in my bed does not exist, I sensed.

Your presence is merely a fleeting memory,

A record of a remembrance that time unravels.

I am alone, without a dancing partner, lost in the beat,

On stage, the worn boards echo my failure.

Under the tomb, oh soul, rest in peace,

For the life that has gone, will not return,

And in the solitude of the moment, I find the end,

Where love fades and darkness begins, at last.
