Christ, the shroud of the tomb fell upon you,
In the sacred moment when pain was revealed,
And my gaze, in the texture of tears, here
Carried the weight of suffering, without being halted.
I try to prevent orphanhood from rising,
To keep the scales from tipping and age from reaching its end,
But the world, divided, seems to no longer deliver,
Lost in chaos where love finally fades.
Christ, the gaze of hope, once so strong,
Now, in this collected moment, doubts the covenant.
The people, divisive, disunited, no longer believe in fortune,
And the future fades away, without light or trust.
But, Christ, even amidst this darkness,
I call for a new truth, a new redemption.
May Your love be the remedy for the deep despair,
And may, in unity, You renew the heart of the world.
