Still I carry, Lord, the vanity of men,
That shadow which binds me, which prevents me from moving forward,
From being your shepherd, from guiding in the name of Your gifts,
Or is it the fear of truly surrendering to love?
Christ, You know what dwells in my heart,
The doubts that persist, the fear that holds me back.
But I ask You, with faith, to open the perfect path for me,
The one that leads to the splendour of your goodness.
Grant me the courage to be whole in love,
To renounce the ego that distances me from Your light.
May vanity dissolve in the touch of Your warmth,
And may I find in You the path that guides me.
