It is not easy, i acknowledge, to conclude the existence of God,

Especially in this era of rising ungodliness,

Where ego reigns and hearts are guilty

Of emptiness and vanity, with no redemption.

But as far as I am concerned, I will denounce without fear,

With the swift verses that spring from my heart.

Every word will be a weapon of justice and love,

I will point out the flaws in its intent.

In greater defence, I will listen to the whisper of prayer,

The divine impulse that will guide me in truth.

May the words I utter have strength and precision,

And prevent among men more pain, more iniquity.

So that every verse may be a balm among others,

And humanity may find relief, with no more sighs.

For in the word there is power, in prayer, direction,

And in God, the eternal source of our salvation.
