I am the one who does not smile,
For I carry within me the pain that the soul never distracts.
The humanity I have never seen, in silence, waits for me,
To cry out in Latin, freeing the cry of truth that brings the end.
With a cry of honesty, I will break the chains,
Setting the records of pain and pending dreams.
I will sing the psalms of new freedom,
Where hope is reborn and flourishes in fraternity.
I will be a friendly bird, soaring across the infinite skies,
In a low, light flight, amidst the spirit.
And upon smelling the fragrant rose, disarmed in verse,
I will discover in its aroma the meaning of the universe.
