I felt your presence, Christ, but I lack the courage

To proclaim to the world Your hope, your message.

There is no distrust in me, only a discreet fear,

Perhaps it is I, dancing to an uncertain beat.

The current rhythms are dissonant, distant,

Sharing in love is not part of the reigning songs.

The new generation prefers idols of plastic and paper,

Figures from magazines, of fragile and unfaithful glory.

But I know the time will come, the moment of truth,

When I will be the knight of love, in full humility.

With lance in hand, I will cast against iniquity,

And in my heart, only purity and will remain.

What remains of humanity, those who see the light,

Will be saved by the shining sword that guides me.

And after the final battle on the distant and far front,

I will lay down the sword, for constant pain will no longer be needed.

I will heal everyone, those who surrender,

And in the proclamation of the tender word, new bonds will form.

For love will be the cure, the ardent redemption,

In the warm flame that will shine in Christ eternally.
