I carry within me ugly, wounded things,
Regretful and sad, not memories, but silent thoughts.
Uncertain moments, which, in the persistence of suffering,
Do not kill me but help me grow and become greater.
With pain and exhaustion, I feel the public approach,
But within me, there is no longer space for embarrassment.
I forget everything else because I have lived and learned,
Because I gave up resisting, and only asked to have You here.
In a final farewell with a sparkle in my eye,
I bid farewell to everything, and go to meet my place.
It is time to be your disciple, O God,
To be a child in Your embrace and follow your heavens.
And, as a father of humanity, I will open the paths with truth,
Guiding hearts with love and simplicity.
For in Your light, I find my purpose,
And in Your will, I find my eternal place.
