A CRY FOR FREEDOM © 2008

Leave the earthly body early,

So that the soul may depart pure

Without the weight of the gentle world,

Which mortal life ensures.

Let the veil of illusion dissolve,

That binds the spirit to matter,

And in its light, ethereal ascent,

Find peace, serene and solemn.

For it is in lightness that one is freed,

Where the eternal is felt,

Leave the flesh, an open door,

So that the soul may emerge.

May the body, so fragile and finite,

Be but a brief beginning,

Of an infinite and blessed flight,

Where the pure writes forever.
