A CRY FOR FREEDOM © 2008
I do not want to think of malice,
For in it, in vanity, fear and dread are rooted,
Which, like shadows around, spreads,
And, in an incapable flight, would be its prisoner, without remedy, too soon.
I prefer to embrace the light, the one that dispels darkness,
That guides the heart on the right path,
And wards off from me the illusion that evil has any power,
For it is in goodness that I find my faith,
And in it, I shall never perish.
