REFLECTIONS © 2011
Jealousy, like a sharp scissor,
Cut the artery that joined our hearts,
Tearing apart the sacred bond of trust,
Leaving only pain and solitude's parts.
It was an invisible line, yet strong,
Pulsing with the blood of sincere love,
But jealousy, with its deadly touch,
Became the destroyer of what was above.
Now, the hearts once intertwined,
Bleed in silence, each in their own space,
And the love that once was infinite
Turns into a distant echo, a trace.
Oh, jealousy, cruel and cold shadow,
You sow doubt where warmth used to dwell,
Let the hearts find their way back one day
To the true love they once knew so well.
