REFLECTIONS © 2011
I am a part of the God that exists,
A part of me that resists being
That part that no longer exists,
That got lost in the abyss of living.
From the disillusionment of life that broke,
Loose fragments, without course or direction,
With not enough tears to form
An ocean that can unite them in compassion.
In its imperfect way of being,
Still, I carry the divine within me,
For I am part of this mystery that persists,
In its part of the God that exists.
And even broken, I am whole in silence,
For each piece reflects the greater light,
And in imperfection, I find the essence,
Of what is eternal, of what is pure love.
