The feet of ignorance
Are capable of kicking a child,
Blind to the pain they sow on the ground,
Insensitive to the fragility of childhood.
And, upon seeing her suffer,
With tears in her eyes, defenseless,
They still laugh at her condition,
As if suffering were an uncertainty.
They ignore the silent scream,
That seeks refuge in innocence,
And in the cruel, scandalous laughter,
They hide the emptiness, the ancient fear.
But the truth will shine forth,
And justice, in its time, will come.
For the pure heart may suffer,
But it will never cease to shine.
