REFLECTIONS © 2011
All the church wrapped in business
Generates a false faith,
Where the spirit gets lost in coins,
And the heart drifts away from what is true.
When the sacred mixes with profit,
And the truth is sold as merchandise,
Faith becomes fragile and hollow,
And love for one another loses harmony.
The church, which should be light,
Transparency and a path to compassion,
Risks, in its dealings,
Trading purity for illusion.
For true faith cannot be bought,
Nor sold at altar or showcase,
It flourishes in the sincere heart,
That seeks in God its sublime destiny.
