REFLECTIONS © 2011
The smallest wave
Is not enough to sail,
You always need the bigger one,
Where, in the abyss, I see you fail.
It’s in the strength of great waves
That you seek to challenge the sea,
But each high tide brings with it
The risk of seeing you sink, you see.
The small wave may be gentle,
But lacks the power to take you far,
While the big one, with its might,
Can drag you down and make you spar.
Sometimes, the abyss is a place
Where we face our fears and strife,
And it’s there, in the depths,
That we find the courage to rebuild our life.
