LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012

In a test and proof of my love,

I will still walk through the valley of shadows,

Where darkness tries to weaken,

And doubts raise their trumpets.

Every step will be challenged,

Every silence, a weight to bear,

But firm in faith and love,

I know I will cross with care.

For the valley is not the destination,

Just part of the path to pursue,

And even in the densest shadows,

There is a light that sees me through.

In the end, I will be who I claimed to be,

Not by conquering fear's dread,

But by remaining true to myself

Even when hope is a secret thread.

My soul will be tested,

But it won't be broken by pain,

For in the love that sustains me,

I will find my worth again.

And so, when the journey ends,

I will be, without a mask, who I am,

The one who, before God and men,

Revealed the truth, a faithful plan.
