LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012

Those who think they are invincible,

One day, will be the first to fall,

For in the pride that blinds them,

They forget that the fall may call.

The false security they flaunt

Is just a castle made of sand,

That time and wind will topple,

Without them seeing the tide at hand.

Invincibility is but an illusion,

A veil that hides the lurking fear,

And those who take refuge in it,

Lose sight of what is truly clear.

For true strength does not shout,

Nor flaunt itself in vain display,

It lies in silent humility

Of those who know fate is a brother's way.

The first to fall will be the proud,

Those who never learned to yield,

For life, in its wisdom profound,

Teaches that only the humble can be healed.
