LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012

Lord, forgive me for daring so much,

For calling You in every sigh,

But my heart longs for You,

And overflows with emotion, in a continuous cry.

I cannot contain this thirst,

This deep desire to be in You,

It’s as if my soul screams,

And in each tear, I felt You too.

Forgive me if I ask incessantly,

But Your absence hurts me so,

And Your silence echoes within me,

As if the whole world falls apart and then regrows.

I cry, Lord, not out of sadness,

But from a love I cannot measure,

From a yearning to touch You,

To see You, to hear You, my treasure.

Even if I dare, even if I plead,

I know in You, I’ll always find shelter,

For my heart knows no other path

Than to seek You, infinite and tender.
