LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012

To me, it suffices that God feels I belong to Him.

I need no more than this sacred bond,

For in His gaze, I find my place,

And in His love, I am always sheltered.

I do not yearn for earthly glories,

Nor for applause that the world might give,

It is enough for me to know that my heart

Is anchored on His eternal altar.

If He feels I am His,

Nothing more I lack, and nothing causes me pain,

For in God, I am whole, I am complete,

And it is in His presence that my being is formed.

My soul rests in peace,

For I know that I truly belong to Him,

And this simple fact is enough for me,

Like the greatest treasure, eternally present.
