LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012
The longings are tears with hope,
That hold within them the promise of a reunion,
They are the echo of a love that remains,
Even when distance seems boundless.
Each drop that falls is a silent wish,
For time to bring back what was lost,
And these tears, which today mourn absences,
One day will trace the face of the happiness that has grown.
For longings are the patient wait,
A feeling that doesn’t fade with time,
They know that, at some moment,
The pain transforms into contentment.
And when the reunion happens,
The tears, once bitter, will be sweet,
Reflections of a full joy,
That the heart has kept like flowers.
