LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012
God will only come after we wither in agony,
When the weight of our own fall becomes clear,
And then, in the silence of our pain,
We will perceive the meaning of the bitter burden.
At that point, we will know what the punishment served,
Not as vengeance, but as correction,
A necessary path so that, in the end,
The soul may purify and find redemption.
The suffering that seemed cruel to us
Will reveal its hidden purpose,
For in agony, we learn humility,
And the truth that was once withheld from us.
God does not abandon us, even in pain,
He waits for the right moment to intervene,
So that, at the height of our despair,
We know that only in Him can we exist.
When we finally understand the punishment,
We will see that it was through it that we grew,
And that, in the end, divine grace will embrace us,
When, purified, we shall see Him again.
