LETTERS TO DESTINY © 2012
Just as a father disciplines his children,
With love and the desire to teach,
So too does God correct us,
Depriving us of many things to mold our reach.
It is not anger that moves Him,
But the wisdom of one who sees beyond,
For what seems to us like loss or punishment
Is the path to something greater, fond.
Like a father who guides with firmness,
Knowing that pain brings growth anew,
God sometimes withholds what we desire,
To lead us to true understanding too.
He knows what our hearts truly need,
Even when we cannot see the way,
And in His hands, discipline is an act
Of love, helping us to bloom and stay.
Thus, when God deprives or corrects us,
It is not out of cruelty or punishment's might,
But because, like a loving father,
He desires the best for our hearts, shining bright.
