LINES OF THOUGHT © 2013

Lord, my master,

Why do I weep so much for you?

Is it that my heart is dressed

In longing, for the love I never knew?

I weep perhaps, because in you I find

The peace that life failed to bestow,

And each tear is a profound tale

From my soul, calling out to you.

I weep because you are my refuge,

In silence, in pain, in solitude,

You are the light that guides me in the suburb

Of doubts that weigh upon my heart.

Lord, my master,

I weep not out of sadness, but knowing

That with each tear that falls,

I am closer to understanding you.

You are the love that never ceases,

The truth that never fades away,

And each tear that now passes through me

Is the bond that draws me nearer each day.
