LINES OF THOUGHT © 2013

Much that is wrong tends to happen,

When we are outside the kingdom of God, without His power.

It is like walking in shadow, without direction,

Lost in the world, without protection.

Outside His kingdom, the soul grows weak,

Fear increases, and hope starts to leak.

Life seems empty, devoid of peace or sense,

And each step taken brings more loneliness.

But in the kingdom of God, there is light and clarity,

There is love, mercy, and true liberty.

It is there we find shelter, security,

And evil loses strength in the face of His purity.

Returning to His kingdom is finding the way,

Where, with Him, we shall never stray.

For at the centre of His will, all things flourish,

And evil, far off, simply can’t nourish.
