LINES OF THOUGHT © 2013
The worst you can do to a liar,
Is confront them with the truth, pure and strong.
For the truth is a mirror that does not lie,
Reflecting what is real, exposing what is shy.
The liar, when unmasked, trembles with dread,
For the truth dismantles the illusion they spread.
Their words, once firm, begin to shake,
And the mask they wore slowly starts to break.
The truth is light that dispels the dark,
A silent justice that shatters the spark.
For the liar, it's the deepest blow,
Revealing the emptiness they've come to sow.
Confronting them with the truth is to tear the veil,
To show that what is false cannot touch the trail.
And in this confrontation, the truth triumphs bright,
While the liar watches their lies fall from sight.
