LINES OF THOUGHT © 2013

What does not exist, cannot be a cause for concern,

For it’s like fearing shadows that are but an illusion's turn.

The mind, at times, creates ghosts in the void,

But there’s no reason to fear what is not real, nor destroyed.

To worry about the non-existent is to waste the present day,

It's letting the unreal steal what’s right in our way.

What does not exist has no strength, no shape, or hue,

It's a void that, if ignored, loses its value too.

Let concerns focus on what is tangible and true,

For the imaginary only distances us from the view.

Peace comes when we accept that the non-existent is naught,

And centre our being on the journey we sought.
