LINES OF THOUGHT © 2013
My tears have solidified,
Transformed into grains of salt,
Each one carries the pain lived,
Echoing the weight of a final truth.
And in my eyes, the salted blood,
Slowly flows, a quiet flood.
Congesting the arteries of my heart,
Bringing with it the ache of emotion's art.
The salt of tears reflects the feel,
A bitter reminder of what I cannot heal.
And in the blood that flows, the suffering blends,
Bearing the weight of all that silence lends.
Yet even in this burden, there's a hidden grace,
For it's in salt and blood that the soul finds its place.
And perhaps, in purging this raw, cruel pain,
I shall find the peace I seek, stripped bare again.
