LINES OF THOUGHT © 2015

I have avoided this dive,

For I know that, upon touching the deep waters,

I will sink into tears, without pride,

Where pain, in waves, inundates me.

There is a weight that the soul does not want to bear,

A sea of emotions to face,

And by avoiding the dive, I try to escape

The ocean of tears that insists on calling.

But perhaps, in the fall, there is redemption,

For tears, as much as they hurt,

Can cleanse the heart,

And in the depths, truths resonate.

One day, perhaps, the dive will be liberation,

Even if I sink, it will be for the healing of reason.
