LINES OF THOUGHT © 2015
Beware of the poison of your tongue,
For each word can wound or heal,
What you now cast with anger that sails,
One day may return upon you to feel.
The words you sow in the air,
Carry the weight of your own heart,
And what in resentment you dare to share,
May in the future come back to impart.
One day, you may taste its flavor,
Bitter as late regret’s embrace,
So make your words an act of favor,
Before they become a shadowy space.
Guard your tongue with wisdom and grace,
For in it lies the reflection of your soul's place.
