LINES OF THOUGHT © 2015
Lady, allow me to rest my head upon your chest,
To recall the love of my mother dear,
In your embrace, I find the way to best
Revive the affection that never disappears.
There’s a longing that dwells within me,
A yearning for a lost lap to hold,
And in your breast, perhaps I might see
That I can feel once more the love of old.
The warmth of a love so profound,
That only a mother's breast can provide,
Is what I seek in this vast ground,
And in you, the wish to find and abide.
Lady, upon your chest, I rest my heart,
So that, for a moment, I may smile and restart.
