LINES OF THOUGHT © 2016
Lord, You know who I am,
You know every pain, every knot.
My God, I cry out to You for love,
In the tears that fall, I find Your fervour.
I am small, fragile in Your sight,
But in Your love, I can breathe right.
Each beat of my weary heart
Is a cry that to You has been raised apart.
My God, I cry out to You, not from pain,
But for feeling Your grace, Your warmth like rain.
In the silence of my soul, I hear You call,
And in the tears, I feel You, through it all.
Lord, You know who I am,
The shadow, the light, what remains in me, a span.
I cry out to You for love, with faith and hope,
For in You, my God, I find my scope.
