LINES OF THOUGHT © 2016

When my time comes,

God will rejoice at my return.

In His hands, I will find my place,

Where the eternal light begins to shine.

But death, disturbed by my glow,

Will try, in vain, to extinguish my splendor.

With its shadow, it will attempt to block the way,

But it cannot erase what is divine.

The light within me is stronger than the end,

It will shine brightly, from beginning to end.

Death may try, but it will not prevail,

For God, smiling, is already waiting for me there.

And, without success, death will retreat,

Before the light that will always be in me.

For whoever lives in God will never die,

And in His glory, will shine forever.
