LINES OF THOUGHT © 2016
Everyone thought themselves the Lords of the World,
But in their time, each era came to an end.
The power they deemed eternal and profound,
In the dust of centuries, soon disappeared.
And new cycles will come, inevitably to pass,
With promises of glory, strength, and splendor.
But only one truth comes to remind us:
That the only true story was and will be Love.
Neither crowns, nor kingdoms, nor vast treasures,
Can stop the time that always flows.
In the end, it’s the simplest, purest gestures,
That the human heart eternally constructs.
Each life, each dream, is a grain in the current,
That flows incessantly, without course or prison.
And in every cycle, it’s Love, always present,
That engraves, eternal, in the soul and in the song.
